Stowe, VT 2 -
On a large estate and old Vermont house was totally renovated and a new horse barn constructed. Horses were brought in to ride in the warm weather and pull sleighs in the winter, throughout an extensive network of trails. A 13 acre pond was constructed through the army corps of engineers and a natural waterfall and stream were built to accommodate the overflow the pond.
Stone walls and staircases were built from old stone so that upon completion the new landscaping looked as if it were always there. This garden featured a small runnel from an overflowing cistern, running by the side of a small stone viewing terrace.
